What is the opportunity?
The Senior Manager, I&T T&O Finance Performance Management will provide financial and strategic advice and analysis to the Borealis team within Innovation & Technology.
What you will do?
- Responsible for production and presentation of accurate and relevant monthly management reporting packages;
- Responsible for Forecasting, planning and analysis including for key performance indicators;
- Identification and escalation of opportunities and risks to achievement of stated financial targets;
- Ensure appropriate cost allocation methods are applies and end-to-end transparency from NIE of the service group to allocations to segments and platform;
- Foster an environment of financial discipline, transparency and accountability;
- Contribute to the development of business cases and PARs / SOWs as well as review of investment / spend decisions and prioritization;
- Partner with Financial Control to ensure effective controls and governance oversight
- Promote mindset of continuous process improvement and identify opportunities to standardize, automate and free-up capacity for value-add analysis and insights
- Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects and information requests as required.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- 5+ years work experience gained through a varied working career including positions in numerous facets of RBC or another financial institution
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent collaborative skills with the ability to establish strong relationships at all levels across the enterprise, work effectively in a matrix model and leverage global resources to achieve objectives
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Solid knowledge / previous experience in financial reporting / analysis and expense / cost management
- Proven planning, organizational and problem solving skills
- Proactive self-starter with strong client focus, intellectual curiosity and growth mindset
- Ability to deal with competing priorities and tight deadlines
Nice to Have
- CA, CMA, CGA, MBA, CFA or equivalent
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Comfort dealing with large and complex data
- Knowledge of RBC organization structure, financial systems and processes
