Director of Program Management, Marketplace Delivery
Borealis AI
Job Description
Director, Program Management, Marketplace Services
What's the opportunity?
We are looking for an experienced Director of Program Management to lead delivery and portfolio execution for Lumina Enablement, RBC Borealis AI’s platform and reusable services organization. This leader will play a critical role in shaping, building, and scaling a portfolio of reusable capabilities that accelerate AI adoption across the enterprise.
This is not a traditional program management role. It sits at the intersection of delivery, platform strategy, and product leadership. The successful candidate will drive the roadmap, prioritization, and execution of reusable services and platform patterns that help teams move faster, reduce duplication, and adopt enterprise-grade AI capabilities with confidence.
The portfolio includes reusable products and services such as managed AI agents, shared APIs, MCP servers, golden paths, implementation patterns, and enablement services that can be consumed across lines of business. Examples include capabilities such as Email Service Agent, transcription and summarization services, document classification agents, and common platform patterns for building, deploying, and governing AI workloads.
You will work across engineering, product, architecture, platform, and business stakeholders to ensure Lumina Enablement delivers high-value reusable assets that are scalable, well-governed, and aligned to enterprise priorities.
At RBC Borealis, you will join a team at the forefront of AI, data, and platform innovation, helping define how reusable AI capabilities are productized and adopted across the bank.
Your responsibilities include:
Leading the end-to-end delivery of the Lumina Enablement portfolio, ensuring reusable services and platform assets are delivered with quality, speed, and strong stakeholder alignment.
Building and maintaining a strategic portfolio of reusable platform capabilities, including managed AI agents, APIs, MCP servers, golden paths, reference patterns, and shared enablement services.
Driving planning, prioritization, dependency management, and execution across a complex set of cross-functional initiatives spanning engineering, architecture, product, governance, and business teams.
Partnering closely with engineering and product leaders to shape the roadmap for reusable services such as Email Service Agent, transcription and summarization services, document classification agents, and other common AI enablement capabilities.
Bringing strong product management discipline to the role by defining problem statements, value propositions, target consumers, adoption goals, and success measures for reusable services.
Establishing portfolio governance, operating rhythms, reporting, and decision frameworks to support transparency, prioritization, and effective executive communication.
Ensuring reusable capabilities are designed for enterprise adoption, with attention to scalability, reliability, security, compliance, observability, and supportability.
Leading the creation and evolution of golden paths that simplify how teams build and deploy AI solutions on Lumina using approved tools, patterns, and controls.
Supporting the development and adoption of MCP servers and associated standards to enable secure, scalable integration patterns and service consumption across platforms and teams.
Creating strong feedback loops with internal consumers to continuously improve the product portfolio based on usage, developer experience, business value, and operational insight.
Aligning portfolio delivery to strategic business outcomes, ensuring Lumina Enablement remains focused on high-impact reusable assets rather than one-off solutions.
Coaching teams and stakeholders on delivery excellence, platform thinking, and product-oriented execution.
You're our ideal candidate if you have:
5-10+ years of experience in program management, platform delivery, or product operations leadership within complex technology organizations.
PMP certification with strong history of delivering complex IT Projects
Proven experience leading large, cross-functional portfolios involving multiple teams, senior stakeholders, and interdependent workstreams.
Strong understanding of platform operating models and the dynamics of building reusable internal products and shared services.
Demonstrated ability to blend delivery rigor with product thinking, including roadmap development, prioritization, stakeholder management, and value realization.
Experience working with technical teams delivering cloud, data, AI, API, or developer platform capabilities.
Strong understanding of modern software delivery, platform engineering, and enterprise architecture practices.
Experience translating ambiguous strategic goals into structured plans, execution roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
Ability to define and manage governance mechanisms, portfolio reporting, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and executive updates.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence across senior leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.
Familiarity with AI and machine learning enablement concepts, including reusable agent-based services, model integration patterns, and enterprise deployment considerations.
Experience supporting or leading delivery for products such as shared APIs, workflow services, platform accelerators, developer enablement tools, or reusable AI services.
Strong judgment and execution discipline in highly matrixed environments.
It is a strong plus if you have:
Experience in financial services or another highly regulated enterprise environment.
Familiarity with managed AI agents, orchestration patterns, and enterprise AI adoption challenges.
Experience defining or scaling golden paths, reference architectures, or paved-road developer experiences.
Experience with MCP servers, tool integration patterns, or reusable service interfaces that support agentic and API-based workflows.
Exposure to AI use cases such as summarization, transcription, classification, workflow automation, and knowledge retrieval.
Experience standing up internal product portfolios with clear adoption, lifecycle, and support models.
Knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, service governance, and enterprise controls relevant to reusable platform capabilities.
What's in it for you?

The chance to lead a high-visibility portfolio at the center of RBC Borealis AI’s platform and enablement strategy.
