What is the opportunity?
In the role of Senior Manager, Strategic Data and Analytics, you will be responsible for evolving Canadian Private Banking data landscape and provide data driven actionable insight to enable Private Banking growth strategy. You will identify, research, analyze, recommend, and execute solutions to drive an outstanding client experience and strong business impact. You will lead and influence partners across the enterprise including Canadian Private Banking, Wealth Management Canada, Technology, Enterprise Functions, and Personal Banking & Commercial Banking. Your thought leadership will help shape the Private Banking strategy and your implementation skills will bring the strategy to life.
What will you do?
Establish credibility by quickly acquiring and demonstrating subject matter expertise and deep knowledge in Private Banking business
Drive future state reporting and Advanced Analytics for private banking to enable a fact base strategy utilizing internal and external data and insight
Drive insight from Private Banking data and competitive landscape in terms of what the data is telling up and what we need to do accordingly
Evolve Private Banking data landscape by implementing core data capabilities to enable private banking growth strategy leveraging modern data architecture and technologies
Identify opportunities and spearhead the leveraging of data analytics to enhance the effectiveness & efficiency of credit delivery leveraging bank-wide technology & practices where prudent. Strike a strong balance between driving market leading portfolio growth, creative client solutions and risk quality in line with established business appetite
Bring specific knowledge to bear, share subject matter experience and expertise, skills and knowledge, as well as non-proprietary work from other situations. Responsible for thought leadership and innovation to increase efficiency and scalability of our credit risk identification
Lead and implement complex data projects of various scopes and types through problem identification, defining an approach, planning, organizing, and execution
Contribute to the unique culture of Private Banking group by continually demonstrating commitment to coach and develop the team and grow the professional capabilities of the group and yourself
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
7+ years’ experience in building reports, data modeling, and deriving insights from complex data
7+ years’ experience in building and managing databases and leveraging modern technologies to query, and present data
Hands on experience working with large scale datasets using Python / PySpark for data processing and advanced analytics
High Proficiency with SQL, SAS, Excel, and Power Point
Ability to work well under pressure, while maintaining a high standard output with attention to details
Business and financial acumen
Nice to Have
Strong understanding and experience of High Net Worth Client Segment and Private Banking
Advanced technical skills in developing Dashboards using Tableau
High Proficiency with Python and Predictive Modeling
University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data science or Computer Science or other quantitative field
Financial and business designations (e.g. CFA, Six Sigma)
