Product Analyst, Data & AI
RBC
Job Description
What is the opportunity?
As a Product Analyst (or Associate Product Analyst, depending on experience), you will join a growing team of product professionals dedicated to building high-quality, scalable, and meaningful Data and AI solutions. You'll support product managers by capturing and organizing key information from product sessions, maintaining dashboards and reports, and helping manage the documentation and tools that keeps the team aligned. It's a hands-on, learning-focused role, ideal if you’re curious about product development, data and AI applications, and how complex systems come together.
At RBC Insurance, we are transforming how Data and AI shaped the way we serve clients, advisors, and operations teams across our value chain. From data platforms to AI copilots, from underwriting to claims, our Data and AI product team helps design and deliver the workflows and insights that drive impact across the business.
What will you do?
Join discovery interviews, workshops, solutioning sessions, and agile rituals as an active observer, capturing detailed notes and outcomes that help Product Managers and stakeholders stay aligned.
Document these sessions in Confluence using team templates, summarizing user needs, business problems, solution ideas, and next steps.
Support continuous discovery by tracking how user feedback and priorities evolve overtime across initiatives.
Build and maintain internal dashboards, reports, and status updates that provide visibility into team progress, initiatives, health and cross-squad activity.
Contribute to leadership communications by helping summarize what's happening across the Data and AI organization.
Increase our product analytics capacity by collecting and analyzing data to measure the outcome of our products and initiatives and understand our users better.
Maintain the team’s shared knowledge platform, keeping Confluence pages, JIRA boards, and product artifacts organized, current, and consistent.
Collaborate with product managers to refine templates, documentation, practices, and internal standards.
What will you need to succeed?
Must have
Under 2 years of relevant experience (co-ops, internships or full-time roles in analytics, operations, consulting, or product teams).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Clear, structured writing and ability to synthesize complex information.
A data-drive mindset and foundational understanding of analytics and data concepts.
Ability to work in ambiguity: comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where information is incomplete or evolving.
System-thinking: interest in understanding how things connect across people, data, tools and processes.
Curiosity, humility, and a willingness to learn by doing and through collaboration.
Nice to have
Interest in product discovery, user research and outcome-drive product development.
Familiarity with Confluence and Jira, or similar product/Agile collaboration tool.
Exposure to SQL, analytics platforms, and dashboard building tools.
What’s in it for you?
A Total Rewards program that includes flexible benefits, work/life balance and career development programs and investment and retirement savings plans
Competitive pay and high-earning potential
All the tools, training, and team support you need to grow your business and career
Flexible work/life balance options
Sophisticated RBCI software tools to boost your productivity and grow your business
